Have you ever been part of a book club before? I have. I usually liked the books, and most of us would read the books, but in the end it felt like we were a wine club that occasionally would get together to chat about a commonly read book, not an actual book club.

Now I get that for some people book club is an opportunity to engage in social contact and general conversation. They might like reading just fine, or they may have had a busy, crazy month where they couldn’t get to the book. Or maybe they started the book and didn’t finish it because the book wasn’t really up their alley.

Now that I’ve gotten older, I’m not ashamed to admit I love an early bedtime. Mostly it’s because I equally love an early wake time. Also, I drive enough with two kids. And I’ve laid off the wine.

But I love to read and love talking about what I’ve read…
